- The New Orleans District intends to award Louisiana Machinery Company, LLC a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed Price purchase order for the repair of a Caterpillar, Excavator, 324 dl, Serial # JJG00410. Louisiana Machinery is the exclusive CAT Dealership in the state of Louisiana which specializes in diagnosing, repairing, timing and completing all work necessary for CAT machines and equipment. Louisiana Machinery's technicians are fully qualified in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of CAT machines, engines and equipment. The technicians undergo an extensive regimen of training monthly on basic diagnostics and electrical repairs. The technicians possess the equipment and tools to do the necessary diagnosing as well as repairs. Their computers are constantly being updated with the latest versions of each piece of Caterpillar equipment. The repairs include: replace set of injectors, replace water separator, replace fuel filter, and troubleshoot machine. The contractor will repair the equipment in accordance with the specifications, manufacture's recommendations and accepted commercial standards and practices. The equipment is located at the US Army, Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District Bonnet Carre Spillway 16302 River Rd Norco, LA 70079. The work will be performed on-site. The work hours will be Monday through Thursday from 0800 until 1630 hours. Contractor can extend his hours of work beyond the daily Corps hours to include Saturday and Sunday work in order to meet the time requirements to complete work. Actual hours of work must have the approval of the US Army Corps of Engineers. Contractor employees are required to adhere to all Corps' rules in regards to working at our Facility. They must stop at the gate and identify themselves, and tell the guard the specific location they will be working. The government shall inspect the contractors' work for contract compliance, during and after completion of work. The contractor shall not be paid for any work until an inspection has been performed by a Government inspector to assure work meets specifications contained in contract. The contractor is responsible for providing all equipment, materials, supplies and labor to complete this work. MSDS sheets on any chemicals used to perform tasks must be provided to the government. Before contractor start work, he must provide an accident prevention plan to have on file. During the repair process the contractor shall abide, at all times, by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Safety and Health Requirements Manual EM 385-1-1, 3 Sep 2008. Contractor shall protect our employees who may visit the area from being exposed to safety hazards. The task described above will be completed within one day.
