- Description
- This is a limited sources justification for a GSA, FAS, National Customer Service Center (NCSC) acquisition, under the authority of the Multiple Award Schedule Program, pursuant to 8.401 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The Contracting Activity responsible for this action is the GSA, FAS, Acquisition Operations Division. The action being approved is for a non-competitive logical follow-on modification to an original Federal Supply Schedule order placed in accordance with the applicable Federal Supply Schedule ordering procedures for Supply Chain Support Services to increase support from 12 hours a day local on-site service to 24 hours a day worldwide support. This modification is to provide the same services that are currently being acquired under the initial awarded order, but operating hours operating hours of the statement of work from 6 am - 6pm Central Standard Time to 24 hours. By operating 24 hours a day, the NCSC will be able to accommodate their overseas customers during the hours of their availability and by a communication method other than the traditional phone contact. The Contracting Officer hereby determines that this action represents the best value to the Government in accordance with FAR 8.404(d) in that the level of effort agreed upon is appropriate, the past performance record of this firm has been outstanding, the firm has vast experience in this area, personnel are extraordinarily qualified, and the offeror proposed a price that, had this requirement been competed, would not be more advantageous to the Government.
