Description
General: The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals for firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website at https://www.fbo.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Proposal documents will be available in Microsoft Word.Estimated Issue Date: January 25, 2011Estimated Closing Date: February 23, 2011Titlle of Project: Ion and Passive Ozone Analyses of IMPROVE FiltersDescription: The work of this contract consists of the following services: (1) Analysis and reporting of ion masses on nylon filters for the Interagency Monitoring of Protected Visual Environments (IMPROVE) network, Estimated Quantity, 22,000, (2) Preparation of impregnated filters for sulfur dioxide sampling and analysis and reporting of sulfate mass on the exposed filters using ion chromatography, (3) Preparation of phosphorous acid impregnated filters for inorganic reduced nitrogen and methylamine sampling and analysis and reporting and, (4) Special Field and Laboratory Studies to Evaluate Data.Type of Procurement: An indefinite delivery indefinite quantity negotiated fixed price contract is anticipated for award requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The government will consider an offeror's technical capability in comparison to its price. The contract award will be for one year, with four one-year options to extend up to a total of five (5) years. Estimated price range, $2,700,000 to $3,700,000.Proposal receipt date is approximate; actual date will be established at the time proposal documents are available.All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered.Written questions regarding the solicitation will be entertained as well as individual conference call to Contracting Officer.Anticipated Period of Performance for base period is April 1, 2011 through March 31, 2012.
