Description
Provide all necessary architectural and engineering services required to prepare complete contract drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates, including services throughout construction period for Project No. 621-11-127, Replace AHUs Building 77 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Sidney and Lamont St, Mountain Home, TN 37684. Work includes architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, and industrial hygiene necessary to repair, refurbish or replace three existing Air Handling Units in Building 77 consisting of AHU No. 6, AHU No.8 and AHU No. 10. The construction cost range is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Area of consideration is limited to a 300 mile radius of the VA Medical Center, Mountain Home, TN. The NAICS code is 541310 and the size standard is $4.5 million. This procurement is 100% set-aside to small business firms. The selection criteria will include: 1) Professional qualifications necessary for performance of required services; 2) Specialized experience and technical competence of the A/E firm with similar type projects; 3) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies; 4) Location of A/E firm; 5) Experience and roles of key design personnel, specifically on related projects; 6) Project and cost control and estimating effectiveness; (7) Veteran owned business status; (8) Sustainable Design. Contract award is subject to availability of funds. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Firms desiring consideration must submit two copies of SF 330 not later than 4:00 p.m. EST on February 4, 2011. SF 330 should be sent to Rachel Reed, Contracting Officer, VISN 9 Network Contracting Activity, Department of Veterans Affairs, James H. Quillen VAMC, Dogwood Ave., Bldg 8, Rm 313, Mountain Home, TN 37684. No faxed or e-mail SF 330s will be accepted.
