Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to issue a modification for additional work under contract EP-W-08-021, with Singer Media Engineering, of Vienna, VA, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1). Additional authority is granted from FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, since the original contract award was placed utilizing these procedures.The purpose of this modification is to increase the current contractor support to be provided for Option Periods Three and Four. Specifically, the modification shall extend the engineering support provided by the contractor to full-time, including control room engineering calibration and operation support. The contractor shall be present in the control room adjusting video and audio levels for all transmissions, studio recordings, and broadcasts--live or prerecord. Additionally, the contractor shall provide camera calibration to include shading and pan-tilt engineering. This modification also limits the on-call component the contract to ensure full coverage.This additional work is integrally related to work under this purchase order and cannot be separated from ongoing work. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541330. No solicitation or request for quote (RFQ) is available. Notwithstanding, any firm, which believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received no later than COB Friday, January 14, 2011, will be considered.
