- The United States Coast Guard Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for DOCKSIDE Repairs to the USCGC NEAH BAY (WTGB 105). The acquisition will be solicited as a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The simplified acquisition will be issued as a Best Value, Request for Quote (RFQ), on or about January 24, 2011. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. Please sign up for the Auto Notification service to receive e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The NAICS Code is 336611. The USCGC NEAH BAY (WTGB 105) homeport is the Cleveland, OH. GEOGRAPHICAL RESTRICTIONS- To the cutter's homepier located at 1055 East Ninth Street, Cleveland, OH. Anticipated start date on or about 2MAY 2011 through 13 JUNE 2011. The scope of the acquisition is to: 1: Chain Locker, Inspect and Clean 2: Tanks (Ballast), Clean and Inspect 3: Compressed Air Receivers, Clean, Inspect, and Test 4: Anchor, Anchor Chain and Ground Tackle, Inspect and Repair 5: Sewage Vacuum Collection Tanks, Clean and Inspect 6: Deck Fittings, Inspect 7: Piping Insulation, Renew 8: Anchor, Anchor Chain and Ground Tackle, Preserve 9: Watertight Doors (External), Renew 10: Chain Locker, Preserve Partial 11: Main Propulsion Motor Sea Water and Lube Oil Pumps, 12: Anchor Windlass, Level 2 Inspect and Repair 13: Vertical Capstan, Level 2 Inspect and Repair 14: Boat Boom, Level 2 Inspect and Repair 15: Sea Water Heat Exchangers, Clean, Inspect and Hydro 16: Air Handler Unit, General Maintenance. All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures.
