- Description
- CLMS Bridge Contract Justification & Approval Document The Government has awarded a four-month sole-source contract to Science Applications International Corporations (SAIC) IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 6.302-1 (see attached J&A). This bridge contract is necessary to continue to meet mission critical requirements, mitigate the impact of personnel turnover, and to support transition to competitively awarded follow-on contracts. The period of performance of this bridge effort will be 1 January 2011 through 30 April 2011. This sole-source A&AS effort will support the Air Force's immediate need to bridge a gap in service from the end of our current A&AS contract which expires 31 December 2010 until competitive source selection can be completed which is anticipated by April 2011. The contract will provide Advisory and Assistance Services to support or improve policy development, management, and administration; and improve operation of systems supporting the Air Force Space Command mission. This effort will also support several phases of planning, programming, sustainment, and implementation cycles of various government satellite systems, and complements the Government's technical expertise in accomplishing particular space-related missions.
