- Notice of Sources Sought: The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking capability statements from industry to provide Lamination of Damage Control Diagrams. The USCG intends that this effort will be 100% set-aside for certified small businesses. This is not a solicitation or announcement of a solicitation. This is a ‘Sources Sought' action only. The purpose of this ‘sources sought' is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. Description of Work to Be Performed: The Coast Guard is seeking qualified sources that can provide laminating services for the laminating of damage control diagrams. The diagrams shall be laminated on both sides with 0.010 inch (10 mil) thick of rigid vinyl plastic. The front surface shall be smooth. The finished laminated diagrams shall be such that there shall be no appreciable change in color of paper or image. The smooth viewing surface shall not reflect images or compartment lighting. The surface shall also be receptive to china marking crayons, which can be readily removed with a dry cloth, without the crayon colors becoming imbedded in the surface. The back surface may be laminated with a laminate that may reflect images. All diagrams shall be laminated with a quarter inch overlap all around. Cut diagrams 38" long x 25" wide ("D" size) and 28 ½" long x 16" wide ("C" size) will be furnished to the contractor. Therefore, the finished size of the laminated diagrams shall be 38 ½" long x 25 ½" wide ("D" size) and 29" long x 16 ½" wide ("C" size). Laminating of all diagrams must be complete in fifteen (15) working days. The applicable NAICS Code is 326112 - Plastics Packaging Film and Sheet There are no geographical limitations for this acquisition. Information Sought: Organizations having the ability to provide the above listed services shall provide a sample meeting the specifications above. Include with your sample clear and comprehensive information supporting their experience, expertise, current size standard, and GSA contract number (if applicable). In order to be considered as potential sources for this requirement. Responses should not exceed three pages and should clearly indicate whether the organization is able to provide the services requested. Questions can be submitted to Raymond S. This notice is for information and planning purposes only and does not commit the Government to any contractual agreement. This is not a request for proposals. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses under this announcement nor otherwise pay for preparing any information sent or the Government's use of the information.
