Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Newport, Rhode Island intends to purchase services to remove and replace valves that are part of the Acoustic Pressure Tank Facility (APTF) for the Underwater Sound Reference Division located at NUWCDIVNPT (1 Job), which is used for emergent Fleet support in transducer and coating certification. This is a manufacturer specific requirement where parts, supplies, and labor are required for this repair and is the responsibility of the awardee/contractor. Repair parts/materials are sole make/model. No substitutes allowed. Contractor personnel shall comply with all current badging and security procedures required to gain access to any Government site. A firm fixed price type contract is anticipated. NAICS Code 423720, Size Standard is 100 employees. This requirement is 100% small business set aside. Further details will be provided in Solicitation #N66604-11- Q-0680, which is anticipated to be released on or about 1/14/2011. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) and ORCA (http://orca.bpn.gov/) to be eligible for award. Instructions for registration are available at the websites. Evaluation factors include technical approach, price, and past performance. Required period of performance is within than 10 weeks ARO; however, once the effort has commenced the entire service must be completed within a 1 week time period, F.O.B.
