PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR SF330's QUALIFICATION PACKAGES OR PROPOSALS. The Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking Architect/Engineer (AE) firms CVE certified by the Center of Veterans Enterprises, and indicated as such in the VetBiz Registry (www.vip.vetbiz.gov) in the following categories: (1) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), (2) Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) for the design of new construction of approximately 15,000 GSF for the Substance Abuse Residential Program and Substance Abuse Outpatient Clinic. The AE firm must be approved under Architectural Services (NAICS 541310) and capable of preparing complete complete drawings in AutoCAD 2010 format or newer, specifications, construction cost estimates per VA standards and guidelines. The project will involve the demolition and removal of an existing 2,347 GSF building, site preparation and construction of new structure. The design shall conform to current standards and provide adequate facilities for patients and visitors. Design shall include preparation of detailed phasing plan/sequence of operation for minimum disruption of hospital operations, including adjacent buildings and planned water tower. The Prime contractor shall have licensed/registered Architects as members of the firm with experience in new construction of hospitals and/or medical facilities. The following additional licensed/registered specialty disciplines shall be members of the firm or team with demonstrable expertise in their respective fileds: geotechnical, structural, civil, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, environmental and interior design. The contract will include preparation of project specifications, construction period services and site visits. Both design capability and estimating capability of the AE firm will be considered. The selected firm shall design to the government's estimated cost for construction. If your firm meets the criteria as stated above, provide the following information: 1) SDVOSB or VOSB CVE certification (or documentation showing when CVE information was submitted to Vet Biz); 2) Short narrative on company which includes: a) short narrative on teaming/partnering approach b) number of staff on company payroll, c) number of years in AE business, d) short narrative on how AE plans to accomodate site visits. 3) A detailed description (which shall be inclusive of size, scope and dollar value) of the firm's experience in designing projects of a similar size 4) Name and address of your firm 5) DUNS number 6) Name and telephone number of a point of contact in case further information is required.
