- Description
- On or about 2 February 2011, this office will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a wide range of design-build and construction services at sites in Colorado and Wyoming to include buildings, structures, and/or site work. This will be a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) with up to two (2) Small Business awards with a shared capacity of $14,900,000. The minimum guarantee amount for the base period is $5,000. Work completed under this contract lies within NAICS Code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The small business size standard for this NAICS Code is $33.5M. The solicitation will close on or about 8 March 2011. Performance and payment bonds will be required on a task order basis. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. As part of this solicitation, Task Order No. 0001 will be awarded to the Offeror deemed to be the best value. Task Order No. 0001 is SNIPER FIELD FIRE (SFF) RANGE at Fort Carson, CO. Site visit information is TBD. Provisions in the solicitation documents will provide detailed information (meeting place, time, points of contact, and access requirements). _______________________________________________________________________________ Task Order No. 0001 Description: (Approx. quantities) Construct a standard design Automated Sniper Field Fire Range. Primary facilities include sniper range, range operations and control area, 290 SF Range Control Tower, 800 SF Classroom Building, 800 SF Operations/Storage Building, 800 SF Covered Mess, 726 SF Bleacher Enclosure, 185 SF Ammunition Breakdown Building, and 200 SF Latrine, and building information systems. Primary facilities building materials include CMU exterior walls, standing seam metal roofs, metal wall panels for range control tower and bleacher walls, 34 theater type seats for Classroom Building, metal bleachers, radiant heaters for Ammo Breakdown Building and some metal doors and windows. Site work and supporting facilities include site demolition and clearing, electric service, service road and parking paving, site grading for primary range support facilities, parking, access roads and storm water management; target emplacement grading; and information systems. The estimated construction cost of Task Order No. 0001 is between $2,500,000 and $5,000,000. _______________________________________________________________________________ For Task Order No. 0001, the Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 365 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety.
