Description

The Stratton VA Medical Center, located at 113 Holland Ave., Albany NY 12208, intends to solicit for and award a firm fixed-price contract for full service support (Gold Level) for a Leica ASP-300S Automated Vacuum Tissue Processor. This contract will include full service and support (including repairs) on all software and associated components/equipment. PM will be performed annually on all listed equipment. Sources are being solicited to identify any potential vendor capable of performing this work who fits an SBA-approved socio-economic classification. If at least two responsible sources are identified that fulfill the same socio-economic category, the Contracting Officer may set this solicitation aside. If no responses are received, or there is no level of response adequate to justify a socio-economic set-aside, the Contracting Officer may release this solicitation to the open market. Under the provisions of PL 109-461, if only one Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business or Veteran Owned Small Business concern is determined responsible and offers reasonable pricing, the Contracting Officer may set this work aside to negotiate a sole-source award. Multiple SDVOSB or VOSB responses deemed able to perform this work will result in an appropriate competitive set-aside. The equipment to be serviced is as follows: Leica ASP 300S Tissue Processor. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting documentation detailing their experience and resources. Interested parties' responses shall include: Company Name, DUNS number, address, point of contact, title, phone number and email address. Interested parties shall also identify their type of business (Small or large) and socioeconomic status whether Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Hubzone, 8(a), Woman owned, Small Disadvantaged, etc. The NAICs code for this is 423450 (size standard of 100 employees). Responses are to be sent electronically to leslie.robinson2@va.gov. After review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FBO website. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested parties will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought notice. Interested parties are reminded to register with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts. Responses must be received by December 6, 2010.
