- The Commandant of the Marine Corps, Personal and Family ReadinessDivision (MR) is seeking qualified sources to provide an update to theFamily Advocacy Program Services Desk Reference Guide. This is apreliminary notification only to seek potentially interested sources for theservice; it is not a request for proposal or quotations. The MR is anon-appropriated funds instrumentality (NAF) operating as part of the staffof the Marine Corps Commandant. The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) is amulti-faceted program which addresses family violence through prevention,advocacy, intervention, and treatment of domestic abuse and child abuse.Military families are assisted through programs in Prevention, New ParentSupport, Victim Advocacy, and Clinical Counseling. The FAP currently maintains a clinical desk reference guide that serves asa one-stop location for all program material within the clinical counselingarena. The goal of this initiative is to broaden the desk reference guideto include all FAP program areas and to update the material to ensure it isfocused on the latest treatment modalities. The guide also needs to includeupdated forms and resources flowing from the Marine Corps FAP Order. The MR is seeking an entry/journeyman level (3-5 years experience) person towork part time for a period of up to 6 months on this project. The budgetis very limited. Someone is needed who can work independently off-site withoccasional meetings on-site, who can produce quality work with minimalguidance, and who is a self-starter with the ability to independently findinformation and incorporate it into the needed work product. Highly desirable qualifications will include: 1) Demonstrated, verifiableand recent experience on projects of a related nature, 2) Graduate schoolexperience in nursing, social work and/or psychology and 3) Excellent skillswith Microsoft Office products. If interested, please forward your resume and a brief description ofprojects in which you have worked. Resume should include all relevanteducational and work experience. Salary expectation would be from $50-$75per hour, depending on experience, which represents the total cost of allcompensation; no other costs or benefits to be paid. The projectdescription should include: 1) Name of project and duration, 2) Descriptionof project work objectives and how you met those objectives, 3) Significantchallenges faced and how you overcame those challenges, and 4) References.The project description will be used to select qualified sources from whichquotations leading to a project award will be sought. A Statement of Work is not available at this time, but will be providedwith the RFQ.
