Description

The Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Columbus Jack of Columbus, OH for the acquisition of a 25,200 lb Aircraft Tire Bead Breaker, P/N 715J1000EX, NIIN: 01-267-7191 for Taiwan Navy. This part is used to mount or de-mount the P-3 nose and main mount tires. The Columbus Jack Tire Bead Breaker is the only one available for P-3 size tires, serving up to 28'. More importantly, the maintenance facilities that are currently being built in Taiwan have been designed to interface with the 715J1000EX Bead Breaker. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. Government does not own current data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. The All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct further competition. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to further competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
