- VA-797-11-RI-0044 REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) FOR FACE SHIELD; SAFETY GLASSES; SAFETY GOGGLES RFI closes February 1, 2011, 4:00 pm Central Standard Time The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Acquisition Center (NAC) intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Face Shield; Safety Glasses; Safety Goggles. VA NAC wishes to learn if there are customary commercial practices in the market place regarding the specifications and packaging of Face Shields; Safety Glasses; Safety Goggles items. This is an effort to ensure the specifications are not overly restrictive or unreasonable. Please submit any suggestions, questions, comments on specifications; and/or information, including product literature/brochures describing your firm's ability interest to provide these items. Full face guard covers from ear to ear and bottom of chin to top of forehead 7. Provides peripheral eye protection SAFETY GLASSES Intended Use: To prevent exposure to blood and body fluids in a clinical setting 1. Anti-fog lenses 2. Clear lenses 3. Disposable, single person use 4. If washable, manufacturer's instructions must be included with product 5. Front and side shield/wrap-around coverage that closely follows the contour of the face 6.
