OFFADD: 42 CONS/LGCA 50 LeMay Plaza South Montgomery, AL 36112 SUBJECT: Sperian Quiet Does in Ear Starter Kit or Equal (Quantity 1) DUE: 20 JANUARY 11 POC: William Stallings, Contract Specialist, Phone: (334) 953-3266; Fax (334) 953-3543 DESC: 42d Medical Group is requesting information for the Sperain Quiet Dose in Ear Starter Kit or equal value. This is a Request for Information (RFI) ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The purpose of this market research (Source Sought Synopsis) in accordance with FAR 11.104 (a) (b), is to determine if the noise level monitor system is commercially available. The item should be of the Sperain Quiet Dose in Ear Starter Kit or equal value. The noise level monitor sought must meet the following essential physical characteristics, functional or performance characteristics: - Dimensions 2.5"w x 3.25"h x.75"d - Hard plastic for durability - Two-channel noise dosimeter - Belt clip on the reverse side of the unit - Microphone harness - Ear tips and Ear muffs - Infrared reader - Over an 8-hour Time Weighted Average(TWA), 90 dBA is the Permissible Exposure Limit, according to current OSHA standards Firms responding to this RFI are asked to provide the following information in their initial response: company's full name, business size, address, point of contact, and a clear indication as to whether or not they can provide the item the government is seeking. Final responses to this RFI will be due on 12:00pm, Central Standard Time (CST), on 20 JANUARY 11. As industry may expect to see portions of submitted information in future solicitations, portions of the response containing proprietary information should be clearly marked as such. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. Oral submissions of information are not acceptable and will not be accepted in response to this notice.
