- Synopsis-TF33 Engine, Carbon Seal Repair FA8121-11-R-0023 1. ESTIMATED SOLICITATION ISSUE DATE: 03 February 2011 ESTIMATED SOLICITATION CLOSING/RESPONSE DATE: 07 Mar 2011. 2. PR#: FD2030-11-36360 3. TYPE BUY: Non-commercial-Repair Contract/Firm Fixed Price; Requirements type contract is contemplated with one basic year and 4 (four) one year options for repair of TF33 Carbon Seals. 4. RMC: R3C 5. ITEM: TF33 Engine; #4 Carbon Seal 6. CLIN, NSN, P/N, Description: (See below) CLIN 0001-NSN: 2840-00-917-8102RV PN: 553367 NOUN: Carbon Seal #4 Description: Length (IN):6.8000 Width (IN):6.8000 Height (IN):1.1990 Weight (LB):4.000 Item Material: Steel Alloy Item Function: To prevent oil leakage into the gas path of the engine. 7. PN: (Provided above with NSN and CLIN info). 8. DESCRIPTION: (Provided above with NSN and CLIN info). ITEM FUNCTION: (Provided above with NSN and CLIN info). SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE: This IS NOT a small business set aside. 9. QUANTITY/DELIVERY: (Estimated qty and delivery see below) CLIN 0001-Basic thru Option IV: 29 ea/year [Total: 145] with Delivery: 1 ea/month 10. APPLICATION: TF33 Engine 11. DESTINATION: SW3211, Tinker AFB, OK 73145-9013. 12. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. To be eligible for contract award, the offeror must be an approved source IAW FAR 52.209-1, Qualification Requirements. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of a SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed as a possible source for future awards. Initial Production Evaluation (IPE) is required if the contractor facility has not remanufactured this component previously for the USAF. This contract will be CFM. 13. EXPORT CONTROL: Data is export controlled. The solicitation/procurement data list is approved for release only to U.S. DoD contractors who are registered and certified with the Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS). Submission of DD Form 2345, Military Critical Technical Data Agreement, with your request for the solicitation is required as specified in the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), 22 CFR Sections 121 through 128. Foreign contractors cannot participate as prime contractors. The technical data will not be available until the solicitation is posted. 14. UID: If unit price exceeds $5,000.00 then UID requirements will apply. 15. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Electronic procedures and Request for Written Proposal will be used for this solicitation through FedBizOpps at https://www.fbo.gov/index. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation that shall be considered. OMBUDSMAN NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
