Description

The U.S. Census Bureau intends on awarding this requirement on a sole source basis. The vendor is required to provide the following hardware maintenance to meet the needs of the U.S. Census Bureau. 1) 3PAR Warranty Extention 2 Nodes - Maintenance Renewal - Year 6 2) Enhanced Hardware Support, 24x7, 4 Hour Response - Year 6 Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 6, Subparts 6.301 and 6.302, the U.S. Census Bureau intends to contract with ImmixTechnology on a sole source basis. This contract will enable the U.S. Census Bureau to extend maintenance services for Year 6, subject to one single part replacement of F925-0016-01-R5 (Adapter, FC, 4-port, 2Gbit, ITI7004G2-LC (LSI Logic). No additional parts are available at this time. The value of this contract does not exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT). Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government. In doing so, interest sources must submit technical capabilities, pricing, and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the U.S. Census Bureau's needs. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to Victor Thomas at the Simplified Acquisition Branch, victor.l.thomas@census.gov. This synopsis is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the government. If no affirmative response is received within 10 days from the publication of this synopsis, a contract may be made to ImmixTechnology without further notice.
