- Description
- This is a SMALL BUSINESS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability of small businesses (e.g., 8(a), veteran-owned small businesses, services-disabled veteran owned small businesses, HUB Zone small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, and women-owned small businesses) having the capability to provide adjudication and payment services for Medicare Claims for the National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) program within the the Officer of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of the Secretary (OS). THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS NOT AN RFP. The government is seeking small businesses which have experience adjudicating and preparing Remittance Advices for Medicare Reimbursement Claims. The involved program has a goal of providing a mechanism for reimbursing definitive medical care provided to National Disaster Medical System (NDMS)-placed patients who were victims of declared disasters or public health emergencies. Reimbursement, under the guidelines of the NDMS, will be made to hospitals (and licensed practitioners providing medical services to NDMS inpatients within those hospitals) that participate in the NDMS. Firms must demonstrate a capability of both the ability to adjudicate Medicare Claims, in addition to their capability reimbursing providers for services they have provided. Please include past experience in these two areas as well. This Sources Sought notice does not bind the government to release an RFP. A set-aside/full and open competition determination will be made based in part on the capabilities of interested small businesses in response to this Sources Sought, as part of the government's market research. Responses to this Sources Sought announcement, along with a firm's capability statement referencing " ASPR-NDMS-2011 " in the subject heading, may be submitted to Brendan Miller, Contract Specialist, in writing to Brendan.Miller@hhs.gov. Please note that correspondences by telephone will not receive responses.
