- Industry Day for Software and Systems Engineering Services Next Generation (SSES NexGen) Program for the U.S. Army Software Engineering Center (SEC) Only those companies pre-registered may attend SEC's Industry Day and One-on-One sessions. Industry Day: The US Army SEC in collaboration with the Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) (C4ISR) will hold an Industry Day on Tuesday, 25 January 2011. The purpose of Industry day is for the SEC to present to interested parties additional information about SEC's overall mission and domain expertise. No solicitation document exists at this time. This Industry Day is for information sharing and planning purposes only. Offerors are reminded that they should propose ONLY based on requirements stated in the solicitation. Any personal opinions expressed by any briefer are solely the personal opinion of that person. The Government will not be bound by such personal opinions and contractors are cautioned NOT to propose based on such personal opinions. The purpose of the one-on-one sessions is to afford industry the opportunity to surface perceived challenges; allow the Government the opportunity to hear industry input and enable the Government and industry to better understand each other. The One-on-One sessions will be limited to twenty (20) minutes. There will be a projector and laptop available for Vendor use. Please arrive thirty (30) minutes earlier then your allotted time, to allow time for set up. The One-on-One sessions DO NOT provide industry an opportunity to brief intended proposal or constitute initiation of the negotiation process. Also, attending the One-on-One sessions will not in any way facilitate opportunities as a sub-contractor. The One-on-One sessions will not be evaluated under any circumstances. Furthermore, the One-on-One sessions will not provide any advantage or disadvantage to the participants. All evaluations will be based on proposals received for the solicitation. Venue: The Industry Day will be conducted at the Mission Training Facility (MTF) Auditorium, at 6008 Combat Drive, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005. Sign in will begin at 0730. The briefings will begin at 0830. Please see attached document for directions to MTF. 25 January 2011 only: Attendees that do not possess a Common Access Card (CAC) and have been pre-registered must enter through the Rt. 715 gate and enter via lane 5. Your name must be pre-registered in order for you to be cleared through the lane. If you have not been pre-registered then you must obtain a day pass at the Visitor Center (Maryland Gate, Route 715). 25 - 28 January: All attendees that possess a CAC may enter the base through the Rt. 715, Main Gate. Follow the normal flow of traffic to the entrance and show CAC at the gate. Visitors not possessing valid government identification must obtain a day pass at the Visitor Center (Maryland Gate, Route 715). The day pass must be displayed in the vehicle's windshield at all times on the installation. The following documentation will be needed at the visitor center: Driver's license with photo or driver's license with other photo ID for each occupant of the vehicle Vehicle registration if driving your own vehicle or rental contract if driving a rental Questions and Answers: Note cards will be provided at registration. Questions will be collected and will NOT be answered during Industry day or the One-on-One sessions. Answers will be posted on the Interactive Business Opportunity Page (IBOP) and Federal Business Opportunities (FedBiz Ops) at a later date. Questions related to the briefing material provided by the Government will be addressed by each briefer and will only pertain to the material being briefed. Briefing Slides: It is the Government's intent to post the briefings on the IBOP web site at a future date. Hard copies will not be available at Industry Day.
