- The American Consulate General, Frankfurt hereby provides the following Pre-Solicitation Notice in respect to the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for: Kandahar, Afghanistan - TV Broadcasting Tower Maintenance and Media Broadcasting Space Leasing Services The solicitation is for the award of a firm-fixed price contract for maintenance and broadcasting space leasing services for a TV broadcasting tower located in Kandahar, Afghanistan. The contact will be for one base year and four one year option periods. The scope of work requires the successful contractor to be experienced in maintaining broadcasting towers, leasing space on the tower to local media companies, and installing the equipment necessary to fulfill the lease commitments in a timely manner. The Offeror must be experienced in doing similar work in remote locations of Afghanistan to be considered acceptable for this contract. Solicitation and award will be subject to the laws and regulations of the United States of America and is being competed utilizing full and open competition procedures. Companies interested in the solicitation shall express their interest by written correspondence to the attention of Colum Mullan at the above fax number or e-mail address, no later than COB February 6, 2011 using the solicitation number SGE500-11-R-0022 in the subject line.
