Description

AN/PRC-148 Radio, a handheld radio in use for two way communications and the AN/VRC-111 Vehicle Adapter/Vehicle Adapter Amplifier (VA/VAA) systems; consisting of two Vehicle Adaptors, two AN/PRC-148 Radios (Receiver-Transmitter), interface tray, with 12 to 32 VDC Power Input and 20 Watt RF output; which installs onto existing MT-6352 mounting trays and is powered through existing SINCGARS mounting trays. This system is easily mounted in air, land or sea vehicles and provides power amplification for contiguous frequency ranges of 30-512 MHz coverage while recharging the AN/PRC-148 handheld radios to support a wide range of secure and anti-jamming voice and data applications. THIS ITEM IS MANUFACTURED BY THALES COMMUNICATIONS INC (23386) THE RFP WILL BE ISSUED USING OTHER THAN FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION PROCEDURES IAW FAR 6.302-1. THIS ACTION IS FOR A FIRM FIXED PRICE, INDEFINITE DELIVERY INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) LONG-TERM CONTRACT WITH ONE FIVE YEAR BASE PERIOD AND NO OPTIONS.
