Description
1) The state of Connecticut is hereby added to the Public Works Department Maine Area of Responsibility, (ME, NH, MA, CT, RI, VT, NY). 2)Factor 7. Firm Location: is changed to read, œFirms will be evaluated for close proximity TO a) the AOR, i.e., ME, NH, MA, CT, RI, VT, or NY area of the anticipated projects, b) knowledge of local site conditions and applicable regulatory requirements, and c) ability of the firm to ensure timely response to requests for on-site support. Question:Regarding Evaluation Factor #7 the text says close proximity IN the Area of Responsibility and does not list Connecticut in the AOR. Will a Connecticut firm (licensed in ME, VT, NH, MA, RI & CT) be eligible and considered of equal proximity as a New York firm? Answer:A firm will not be rated ineligible solely based upon the proximity of the firm in relation to the Area of Responsibility. Question:I am the principal of a small architecture firm doing commercial, residential and institutional work. At present, I am a sole practitioner. Would my firm be considered an appropriate candidate for the term agreement described in the solicitation? Answer:The decision to submit a proposal is at the sole discretion of each firm. Please review prior Questions and Answers posted for information relative to the Limitations on Subcontracting clause.
