- Description
- The purpose of this notice is to inform potential sources that the United States Air Force (USAF) intends to issue a commercial solicitation for OB/GYN (Obstetrician Gynecological) Services. Due to established economic agreements between the United States Government and the Government of Turkey, the USAF intends to order from a business concern within the country of Turkey. Access to Incirlik Air Base is required. Access to Incirlik Air Base is controlled by the Turkish Air Force (TURAF). Sources must coordinate directly with TURAF to ensure access. The number to TURAF Pass and ID for all gate pass issues is 322-316-4184 or 322-316-4186. The United States will not be held liable for any delays caused by TURAF. The solicitation will provide additional details for the technical requirements. The solicitation is expected to be issued on 1 Feb 2011 with a closing date of 2 March 2011. The dates given in this notice are tentative and subject to change. Firm dates will be given in the actual solicitation once issued. It is the intent of the U.S. Government to award this agreement with a base year and four option years. The exercise of which will be based upon need and performance. Promoting Competition requires consideration of at least three sources to promote competition to the maximum extent practicable. Award can only be made to sources registered with the Central Contractor Registration (https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx).
