Description

The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, MCAS Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to AAR Defense Systems & Logistics, 1100 North Wood Dale Road, Wood Dale, IL 60191, (Cage Code: 1Y249). Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required items. The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East Support Team, MCAS Cherry Point, NC intends to procure Gaskets P/N 4501484, four (4) each, Oil Separators P/N 163055-2, twenty-five (25) each, and Oil Separators P/N 163054-2, twenty-five (25) each as required to fulfill the Government ™s requirement for the KC-135 APU (Engine Assemblies). The sole manufacturer of the APU is Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation and AAR Defense Systems & Logistics is the exclusive distributor for these parts. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
