Description
United States Coast Guard - Request for Information Claims Support Services The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Office of Contract Operations is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) as part of a market research and information gathering to determine the availability of Claims Support Services. The USCG is seeking information and qualified, interested sources to provide oil spill Claims Support Services to the USCG National Pollution Funds Center (NPFC), with most of the effort taking place at its offices in Ballston, Virginia. Services are anticipated to include: expert claims adjusting, project management, accounting and financial support, as well as other technical services. Based on past experience and future expectations, specific categories include, but are not limited to: - Fishery / Fishing Industry Operations - Forensic Naval Engineering - Forensic Accounting - Power Generation - Petrochemical Refining Operations - Forensic Nuclear Engineering - Business / Industry Sector Economic Analysis - Economic Damage Analysis - Risk Assessment One of the key anticipated considerations is the ability for interested parties to be able to scale up / staff up on short notice in order to respond to sizable oil spill disasters. If an interested party is a small business, they are advised to include information as to how they would handle a possible large staffing increase while maintaining compliance with the 51% small business requirement. Interested parties should provide a brief capabilities statement of not more than three (3) pages, excluding a Coversheet. In addition to information provided as to technical capabilities, interested parties shall provide their Points of Contact, DUNS Number, Small Business Classification, lists of any pertinent GSA Schedules of DHS Contract Vehicles, and the applicable NACIS and Product Service Codes. This synopsis is for market research purposes only and IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. No hard copy or Facimile submissions will be accepted. Extraneous materials (brochures, etc.) will not be considered. All questions are due by February 17, 2010, at 12 Noon Eastern. Responses will be provided via amendment to the RFI.
