Description
Description: The Project Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM-MAS), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ and the Army Contracting Command -Rock Island, IL are currently seeking sources for the manufacture and delivery of Cartridge (Ctg) 12 Gauge #00 Buckshot (A011), Ctg 12 Gauge #9 Shot (A017), Ctg 10 Gauge Blank (A010), Ctg 12 Gauge 7 Shot (A014), and Ctg M1030 12 Gauge Shotgun Breaching (AA54), DODIC A011 is a 12 Ga. 2 3/4" round, the configuration of A011 is a 2 3/4" round with nine.330 inch diameter 00 Buckshot pellets. It is packed 5 cartridges in a cardboard carton, 32 cartons packed into an M2A1 ammunition box. Two ammunition boxes are then packed into a wire bound wooden crate. This ammunition is used for training and combat. The A011 is bought via MIL-PRF-48656B. DODIC A017 is a 12 Ga. 2 3/4" round, the configuration of A017 is a 12 Ga. 2 3/4" round with 1 1/8 ounces of #9 shot (approximately 575 pellets.080" in diameter). It is packed 25 cartridges in a cardboard carton, 20 cartons in a fiberboard box. This ammunition is used for training and target competition. The A017 is bought via MIL-PRF-48656B. DODIC A010 is a 10 Ga. 2 7/8" round, the configuration of A010 is a 10 Ga. 2 7/8" round with a blank charge. It is packed 5 cartridges in a cardboard carton, cartons packed into a fiberboard box. This ammunition is used in training in a simulator. The A010 Blank is bought via MIL-PRF-32056. DODIC A014 is a 12 Gauge 7 " Shot. The A014 is approximately 2.39mm (0.094") diameter and weigh about 1.25 grains each and can be fired out of the M26, M1014, Mossberg Model 500/590, and Remington 870/MCS shotguns. It is packed 48 cartridges in a cardboard box. The A014 is bought via MIL-PRF-48656B. DODIC AA54 is a 12 Gauge Breaching cartridges will be used in the Army standard 2.75 and 3.0 inch chambered 12 Gauge Shotgun Systems (Mossberg Models 500 & 590) and the Remington 870. It is packed 5 cartridges in a cardboard carton, 32 cartons packed into a M2A1 can. 320 cartridges in a wire bound box or 2 M2A1 in a wire bound box. The AA54 is bought via MIL-PRF-32300(AR). Specifications: A011, A017, A010, A014 and AA54 cartridges shall be manufactured in accordance with performance specifications. A copy of the performance specifications may be obtained by written notice to the point of contact listed below. Requests must include an approved DD2345 Form. An approved DD2345 form allows the Government to release Distribution Statement D drawings to a U.S. DoD contractor only. If an offeror does not have an approved DD2345 Form, the form can be accessed through the following website: www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp. The form can be completed on-line and submission instructions for approval are included on the form. Planned Acquisition: Requirements are for the FY12- FY17 timeframe with quantities up to approximately 3.5M each of one or more of the described DODICs. The planned approach is Full and Open competition of a requirements contract. Submission Information: All responsible interested sources should submit their capabilities/qualification data. The respondent's capabilities information must demonstrate the ability to produce approximately 18M rounds annually of these cartridges. Submittal of information is requested via electronic mail only, no later than 30 days from the date of this notice. All responses should be submitted to Mr. Mark Stevens at ACC-RI, e-mail address mark.d.stevens@us.army.mil.All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government, as this notice is submitted for planning purposes only. This information is for planning purposes only and the Government is not obligated to procure any or all of the items noted above.
