Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office, Montgomery Alabama Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.501 to Medco Home Healthcare, 132 Quick School Road, Fayetteville, TN 37334-6847. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP)-only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Medco Home Healthcare is the only known source capable of meeting the Governments stringent requirements for the installation of adaptive equipment, provides the best price, and trains the Veterans on the proper use of the equipment. The government intends to acquire this service using FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 1:00 p.m. CST on February 28, 2011. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to Mariano.Roman@va.gov with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
