Description
Solicitation Westinghouse Anniston (WA) is soliciting bids to support the Replacement of Chill Water Coils on HVC-AIRH-102, 103, 110 and 114 at the Anniston Chemical Agent Disposal Facility (ANCDF). WA reserves the right not to issue an award after bid opening. SUBCONTRACT NUMBER The subcontract number assigned to this solicitation is WA-FY11-AR-617 and must be added to the Description section of your liability insurance certificate. STATEMENT OF WORK Work Order 385383 - Top and bottom chill water coils have ruptured and need replacement. They supply cooling to the Munitions Demilitarization Building's (MDB) Mechanical Equipment Room (MER). Provide labor and equipment necessary to replace the chill water coils in 03-HVC-AIRH-110. All work to be performed using good practices for the replacement of a chill water coil. ANCDF will provide the new cooling coils. The subcontractor is responsible for supplying all consumable parts and materials, including temporary supports, bolts, gaskets, etc. ANCDF will lock out the fan motor. ANCDF will secure both the supply and return chill water lines and drain any remaining water in the coils. There is no Glycol in the cooling system. The subcontractor will be responsible for removing and re-installing supply and return piping and insulation as needed to gain access for the removal of the damaged coils and installation of the new coils. It may be necessary to remove permanent pipe support in the coil pull area and install temporary supports to the piping disrupted by this work. Once the coils have been removed, WA Engineering will inspect the drain pan and coil support at each coil for deterioration, damage or blockage and determine if repairs are required. Once the coils and piping are installed, ANCDF will unlock the system and fill the coils with water. The subcontractor is responsible for ensuring the coils and all associated piping connections are checked for leaks, at system pressure, and any leaks identified are repaired. The subcontractor is responsible for removing all temporary pipe supports and replacing with permanent supports. The subcontractor is responsible for replacing any insulation removed during repairs. The subcontractor is responsible for offsite disposal of the old coils. They supply cooling to the Munitions Demilitarization Building (MDB). Provide labor and equipment necessary to replace the chill water coils in 03-HVC-AIRH-102. All work to be performed using good work practices for the replacement of a chill water coil. ANCDF will provide the new cooling coils. Provide labor and equipment necessary to replace the chill water coil, HVC-COIL-900, in 03-HVC-AIRH-114. All work to be performed using good work practices for the replacement of a chill water coil. ANCDF will provide the new cooling coils. The subcontractor is responsible for supplying all consumable parts and materials, including temporary supports, bolts, gaskets, etc. ANCDF will lock out the fan motor. Open the filter access doors and leave open during the entire job. ANCDF will secure both the supply and return chill water lines and drain any remaining water in the coils. There is no Glycol in the cooling system. The subcontractor will be responsible for removing and re-installing supply and return piping and insulation as needed to gain access for the removal of the damaged coils and installation of the new coils. It may be necessary to remove permanent pipe support in the coil pull area and install temporary supports to the piping disrupted by this work.
