Description
This is a synopsis for the procurement of Initial Outfitting Transition Services and Commodities (IO-T/IO-C) for Navy Medicine West to be provided to Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. The US Army Corp of Engineers issues this synopsis IAW FAR 6.204. The resulting contract will not exceed one (1) year in duration. Formal solicitation to be posted within five days. The following are essential characteristics of the IO-T/IO-C: 1. Step 1 (Services): Initial Outfitting Transition (IO-T). IO-T includes project management, transition/relocation planning, space planning, public relations support, inventory identification, and the planning/design and requirement development of all the systems and commodities identified above. 2. Step 2: (Commodities): Initial Outfitting Commodities (IO-C). Once the requirements are identified, priced and negotiated, then the IO Contractor shall provide the product outlined in the Statement of Work. This portion of the work also includes any de- or re- install of existing systems/equipment/furniture, and storage, delivery, installation, labor, disposal or disposition, testing, certification, clean-up/cleaning, training, O&M manuals and the updating of information in the Navy Medicine West (NMW) management real property system, Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system. This acquisition shall be a competitive procurement conducted under the Small Business Administration 8(a) program procedures. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 337127 with a Small Business Sized Standard of $7M. A site visit to the aforementioned facility is scheduled for 28 February 2011 at 0700.
