Description
This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements (FAR 6.302-1). See posted J&A for further information. Law Enforcement Services for US Army Corps of Engineers, Coralville Lake Project, Johnson County, Iowa. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to enter into a firm, fixed-price contract with County of Johnson Sheriff's Department, 511 S Capitol Street, Iowa City, Iowa 52240-1530. The NAICS code for this procurement is 922120; NAICS Code is not applicable with size standards. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued. "Increased law enforcement shall be for those projects, or portions of projects, that are operated and maintained by the Corps, and shall be executed in order to supplement Corps staff in performing certain law enforcement activities as defined by the Visitor Assistance Program, per Chapter 6 of this regulation and PL 95-224, (92 Stat.3), Federal grant and Cooperative Agreement Act of 1977." "Public law enforcement agency legally empowered to enforce state and local criminal and civil laws on the projects for which increased law enforcement is being sought."
