- Specifications: 3-FT SPHERICAL CONFINEMENT VESSEL – MACHINE/WELDMENT (SHEETS 1 – 7) Draft Statement of Work for Confinement Vessels. National S ecurity Technologies LLC (NSTec), a Prime Contractor to the DOE, is seeking sources for the fabrication of a minimum of six (6) Confinement vessels per the attached "Draft" Statement of Work, Drawings & Specifications. This requirement is for confinement vessels for use by National Security Technologies LLC (NSTec) (CONTRACTOR) and the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in collaborative experiments to be conducted at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS). The Drawings, Specifications and Technical Documents listed below have been provided by LANL, NSTec is authorized to utilize these documents and is solely responsible for this effort. Any references to LANL now shall mean NSTec. The Subcontractor shall be required to implement and maintain a Q uality Assurance (QA) Program in accordance with the following Quality Assurance Criteria and Requirements: 10CFR 830, §830.4 through §830.7 and Subpart A, Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear related work activities. DOE Order 414.1C, Attachment 2, Contractor Requirements Document for all work activities. NQA-1:2000 Part I and Part II for Nuclear Facility and/or Mission Critical work activities. ISO 9001:2008 for non-nuclear and non-critical work activities, where appl icable. ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 3, Quality Rules for Construction of High Pressure Vessels. Price Anderson Amendments Act (PAAA), 1998 and10CFR830.120, Subpart A, Quality Assurance (QA) Requirements Note : CONTRA CTOR reserves the right to perform qualification audit to ensure that the SUBCONTRACTOR has an acceptable program and for inclusion on the CONTRACTOR Qualified Supplier List (QSL). SUBCONTRACTOR must remain on the QSL during the entire period of the SUBCO NTRACT. To be considered, interested parties shall provide the following: A project approach that provides an overview on how the fabrication is to be preformed to include Design, Manufacturing Methodologies and Options, Facilities including exist ing equipment, location of factory, Fabrication processes, and Quality Assurance Schedule is critical therefore an accurate time line is necessary. Address production cycle time. Evidence of experience in the manufacturing and fabrication of the material s by providin g references, including points of contact where the you done similar work within the past 5 years A copy of your current Quality Assurance Progra m A Rough Or der Magnitude (ROM) for 6 vessels and 9 disks Recommendation of a pricing index to be used for an economic price adjustment for future material market price fluctuations (increases/decreases )
