- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPRTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER SERVICE DISABLED VETERANS OWNED SMALL BUSINESS PROGRAM FOR CONSTRUCTION NAICS CODE 238210. The Department of Veterans Affairs, John D. Dingell, VA Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, MI 48201 anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a contract for the construction project known as Install Patient Room Televisions. The place of performance will be The Battle Creek VA Medical Center Located at 5500 Armstrong Road, Bldg 9 RM 106, Battle Creek, MI 49037. The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 (Sealed Bidding) and Part 36 (Construction) and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a Total Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, travel, etc. to perform all work under this project which consists of: This Project will Install 26 flat panel televisions (supplied by the VA), wall mount pivot metallic brackets as well as new electrical outlets and cable television connections in patient rooms in Buildings 3-1, 14-1, 82-1, 83-1, 83-2 and 84-1: B. Work will include Removal of existing televisions and wall mounts, which will be returned to the VA, The removal of exiting electrical outlets and cable connections. Installation of the VA supplied television wall mounting brackets; VA supplied 26 flat panel televisions, as well as installation of new electrical outlets and cable connections in locations that will conceal all cords and cable. Contractor will supply and install a fully articulating, swivel television mount that will support 23" to 37" LCD and Plasma TVs up to 80 lbs. The mount shall include everything necessary for installation, including brackets and wall plate. Mount shall include security locking mechanism to prevent the TV from unlatching from wall. Approximate dimensions of wall plate shall be 96mm (3.77 in) width by 264mm (10.39 in) height, box dimensions should be approximately 20 × 13 × 6 . The period of performance is 45 Calender Days. The cost range of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS Code: 238210. The solicitation documents including specifications and drawings will be issued on or about April 15, 2011. Site visit information will be provided upon issuance of the solicitation. Only one site visit will be conducted. Bids will be due on or about 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. No bidder list is maintained by the Contracting Office.
