Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst is requesting information pertaining to the feasibility of a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) reliable, mobile, trailer-mounted Ground Power Unit (GPU) to be utilized by United States Marine Corps in support of forward deployed UH-1Y, AH-1W and AH-1Z aircraft The GPU is required to provide 28 VDC @ 200 amperes. The GPU shall be capable of providing 2 independent 28 VDC sources. The GPU shall be cart-mounted and capable of operating in rough terrain. The GPU shall be able to be manuevered manually or through the use of a tug. The GPU must be multi-fuel capable and able to operate on diesel fuel, JP-4, JP-5 or JP-8 turbine fuel with minimal manual adjustment needed for change over of fuel type. The GPU must be able to operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -25 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, and altitudes up to 8000 feet above sea level. The GPU shall be of a size and weight such that it can be loaded and transported as internal cargo in a UH-1Y type aircraft, envelope dimensions of the entire unit shall not exceed 37 cubic feet.
