Description
The United States Army Contracting Command, Picatinny, on behalf of the US Army Armament Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, is contemplating award of multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements(BPAs) to firms capable of fabricating 40mm M433 One-Piece Bodies.The 40mm M433 One-Piece Body is a deep drawn embossed steel cup approximately 1.60 inches in diameter and 2 inches in length. Candidates shall be capable of the following: Interested sources shall be capable of producing quantities of bodies using a deep draw or similar method. Bodies are being fabricated for the intent of developmental testing. Candidates shall be able to perform inspection of all dimensions that would be associated with a 40mm body. Final machining of bodies is expected in order to add features that would not normally be associated with a deep draw process (ie. threads, knurls). Prior experience in deep draw operations, especially in steel working is desirable. Interested sources should submit their capabilities by providing such items as specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, information pertaining to experience on previous projects, specific work previously performed or being performed and any other specific and pertinent information as pertains to this particular area of procurement that would enhance our consideration and evaluation of the information submitted. Complete submittals must be received NO LATER THAN COB March 25th, 2011. All information is to be submitted via email (10MB limit) at no cost or obligation to the Government; information provided will not be returned. All interested and potential firms must be registered in CCR, and current firms must update once a year to maintain active status. In addition, respondents must have valid ORCA certification or provide a copy of the most recent certification. Respondents shall also indicate the size of the business entity; large or small and provide a copy of the most recent ORCA certifications. Please provide the name of your firm, address, POC, phone/fax number, and email address. This synopsis is open to all business concerns; however, in accordance with FAR 19.501, the Governments intent is to establish BPAs with small businesses.
