- Description
- Military Sealift Command (MSC) intends to issue a contract on an other than full and open competition basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) to MedAire, Inc. (MedAire) to provide emergency worldwide aero medical evacuation services to civil service mariners, active duty military personnel and sponsor personnel upon MSC's request. This is a follow-on Contract to N00033-06-C-9010, which expires 31 March 2011. Competition is being limited to MedAire as their extensive expertise in the medical evacuation industry and experience in fulfilling similar requirements for MSC will allow them to provide services immediately. Any lapse in contractual support could result in severe consequences, including loss of life for the mariner requiring evacuation. This will be a firm-fixed-price type Contract. The period of performance shall be 01 April 2011 to 30 September 2011. Additionally, the Contractor shall be required to prepare and submit incident reports after each evacuation that occurs. MSC is interested in hearing from any company with the capability to provide the necessary worldwide medical evacuation support. Any responsible source may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the Military Sealift Command.
