- C-Architect-Engineering Services Sources Sought Notice; Richard V. Pasbrig, Contracting Officer - (708) 202-4141. Provide Professional Architectural/Engineering design services to Renovate the Cardiology Department located in Bldg. 200 at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. This contracted work includes programming of department requirements, investigation of existing conditions, preparation of drawings, specifications and cost estimates involving the work and trades necessary to facilitate award of a construction contract in order to renovate the Cardiology Department located in Building 200. The construction period services include periodic site visits, review of submittals, RFI responses and punch-listing of the completed project. A/E shall include certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) involvement regarding matters such as asbestos and lead in drawings, specifications and construction period services, which will include the pre-construction meeting, full-time field monitoring during abatement, sample taking, expeditious laboratory testing and result reporting and providing final reports. Estimated price range for this contract is between $250,000 and $500,000. Area of consideration is restricted to 100 miles of the Hines VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. Submit two (2) copies of SF 330 with appropriate documentation by the close of business, APRIL 6, 2011. Mail information to Great Lakes Acquisition Center, Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, Mail Stop 69D, 5000 S. 5th Avenue, Hines, IL 60141-5000. Selection criteria will be based on : (1) Specialized expertise and technical competence of the firm (including a joint venture or association) with the type of design required; (2) Specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project; (3) Professional capacity of the firm in the designated geographic area of the project to perform work; (4) Past record of performance on contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs; (5) Geographic location and facilities of the working office; and (5) Certification as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). No bid packages are available. This is not a Request for Proposals (RFP). NAICS #541310 applies. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
