- IMPULSE CARTRIDGES SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis. It is intended as a method of informing potential contractors of a possible Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to supply Impulse Cartridges to both the USAF and multiple foreign partners. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government. The USAF is seeking potential contractors to become an approved source of supply for Impulse Cartridge NSN 1377-01-369-2492 and Impulse Cartridge NSN 1377-01-482-1555 for an anticipated procurement. Impulse Cartiridges to be supplied shall be form, fit and function compatible to current existing U.S. Government requirements. Qualification requirements will be at the discretion of the USAF. If you would like specific information on qualifying, please contact Michael Kasper at 801-775-5109, or michael.kasper@hill.af.mil. A Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract to supply Impulse Cartridge NSN 1377-01-369-2492 and Impulse Cartridge NSN 1377-01-482-1555 is being contemplated at an estimated value of $1M. Note this number is an estimate only and in no way obligates the U.S. Government. Initial deliveries are required no later than 31 October 2011 with additional deliveries to follow. It is anticipated that a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued in May 2010 with a closing date in June 2010. Award estimated to be made before the end of June 2010. Information received will be considered for the purpose of determining industry interest in the upcoming procurement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought. Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary. Olin Corporation, East Alton, IL is the only known approved source who currently has the knowledge, skills, facilities and equipment required for this effort. Firms responding to this sources sought notice are also requested to provide capability statements, which at a minimum need to include: * Company name & associated CAGE code * Point of contact name and phone number * Business status (i.e. 8(a), small, HUBZone, woman-owned, etc.) * Capability statement Interested offerors should respond to this synopsis with a capability statement within 15 days following the publication of this notice. A capability statement not submitted via www.fbo.gov should be submitted via E-mail to the following: Shawna Dudis at shawna.dudis@hill.af.mil no later than 4:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST) on Wednesday, 30 March 2011. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation and will be posted to www.fbo.gov when it is issued.
