- Description
- 1. Purpose: A facilitated exercise in Leading Change: Scenario involves participants acting as the newly hired VP Patient Services for Lakeview Regional Hospital. Lakeview has recently received bad press highlighting long wait times in the ER. You ™ve been asked by the Hospital ™s CEO to lead a team to reduce wait times in the ER. Learning points: Learn Change Management best practices (7-step model for managing change, key change management tactics, creating a common language for change). Learn about Lean Practices Learn from, and connect with, other colleagues in the room 2. Justification for sole-source: Leading Change is the dominant theme of the signature courses in the Center for Executive Education. The core presentations all deal with developing and maturing management skills. The culmination is an exercise which brings together virtually all the course presentations and learning objectives. The simulation from Experience Point has proven over the years to be the most successful tool to reflect and practice how to be Change Agents. After conducting market research, it was concluded that no other simulation software can provide a comparable learning experience for students as it relates to the course materials and learning objectives. The software is a simulation training that is specific to the class and curriculum. The simulation exercise ties together the course presentations and learning objectives. There are no comparable simulations on the market that will tie in with the class curriculum and meet the desired learning objectives of the courses in the Center for Executive Education. Additionally, ExperiencePoint is a recognized global leader in leadership simulations. ExperiencePoint works with many of the top Executive Education programs in the world (Duke, London Business School, UNC, Ashridge, HEC Paris, Mt. Eliza - Melbourne, Rotman - U of Toronto, etc.). ExperiencePoint has worked with other federal government agencies, to include: Defense Acquisition University (US-SOCOM, Naval CIS, and Strategic Change Management Center), USAF, and the US Marines.
