- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center San Diego intends to acquire NDT (non-destructive testing) services aboard U.S. aircraft carriers. These services are to include services for weld repairs to the aircraft carriers ALRE (Aircraft Launch Recovery Equipment) systems, services on high pressure piping, welding on the flight deck, visual landing aids, catapult and arresting gear components. NDT testing personnel must be NAVSEA certified to inspect in accordance with NAVSEA T9074-AS-GIB 010/271 and are required to be ISO9001 certified. Certification documentation shall be provided with an offerors quotation. Services are to be performed at Naval Stations in Bremerton, Washington; Everett, Washington; and San Diego, California. Anticipate the award of a Firm Fixed Price service type contract for a Base of one (1) year and four (4) one-year options. Solicitation number N00244-11-T-0146 applies and will be issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) under FAR Part 13. The solicitation will open on March 24, 2011 and close at 1600 on March 29, 2011. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541380, and the business size standard is $12.0 million. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The method of invoicing and payment shall be by Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF). This announcement will close at 1600 on March 23, 2011.
