Description
RECOVERY PROJECT--::P248::RP#,, STEAM AND CONDENSATE PIPING GROTON, NAVAL SUBMARINE BASE NEW LONDON, GROTON CT. PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. This acquisition to support the Navy/Marine Corps mission was awarded sole source to an SBA 8(a) Program certified firm in accordance with FAR 6.302-5(4) and FAR 19.808. Per FAR 6.302-5 a J&A is not required for this award. Veterans Construction, LLC, an SBA certified small disadvantaged business, of Boston MA, 02127-2711 is being awarded a firm fixed price contract at $3,145,421.79 for replacing steam and condensate piping at the Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton Connecticut. Work will be performed at the Naval Submarine Base in Groton CT. Work is expected to be completed March 2012. Funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. One proposal was received for this contract. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, Public Works Department, Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton CT is the contracting activity. The work to be provided is a design to build project for steam and condensate line repairs on Grenadier Ave vicinity Building 83 to Building 492, at the Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton CT. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary design, supervision, labor, material, equipment, tools, and supplies that are needed to install direct bury steam and condensate pipe with above ground valves and trap stations in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
