- Description
- The purpose of this amendment No. 2 is to (1) respond to questions which is as follow: QUESTION: What is the defined requirement for what the automatic remediation remediates? ANSWER: The automatic remediation should include the ability to quarantine, block, route and control services, processes, accounts and privileges. It would also include the ability to automatically execute the responses below, but the list is certainly not all inclusive. These automated responses should be granular enough so that things like time of day and day of the week can easily be incorporated into the rule set. • Block an IP Address - Kill suspicious traffic • Disable Networking - Quarantine infected machine • Disable User Account - Revoke access • Kill Process - Terminate unauthorized application • Detach USB Device - Disable unauthorized device • Restart Service - Enable failed service (2) to state the closing date for questions will be March 23, 2011.
