Description
This proposed action is to increase the quantities of the IVHMS kits, initial DSP LRUs (consisting of the Integrated Vehicle Health Management Unit (IVHMU), Data Transfer Unit (DTU), Cockpit Display Unit (CDU) and Remote Data Concentrator (RDC)) and IVHMS peculiar GSE kits as a modification to the current firm fixed price (FFP) 5 year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, W58RGZ-08-D-0224. Contract W58RGZ-08-D-0224 was awarded as a sole source contract to Simmonds Precision Products, Inc.,(d/b/a) BF Goodrich, 100 Panton Road, Vergennes, VT 05491, CAGE 89305. The IVHMS is approved for use on the US Army H-60 aircraft via the Air Worthiness Release (AWR) process, which is required for all systems that are installed on the H-60 helicopter platform. There is no other source of IVHMS kits, initial DSP LRUs and GSE kits for the US Army H-60 helicopter that has a qualified or approved AWR and MWO that meets the Utility Helicopter Project Office (UHPO) requirements and current H-60 specifications. It is anticipated the award will be a Firm Fixed Price modification to the current contract. All submissions must be submitted by 14 April 2011. All responsible sources may submit a quote by fax or mail your request ATTN: CCAM-BH-C, Tamesha Derrick, Contract Specialist, or Pat Sandy Contracting Officer, FAX number 256-955-8364. No telephone requests will be accepted. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
