- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) intends to procure via SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES on a Sole Source basis a firm-fixed price purchase order to US Schematix, 9628 Gaslight Place, Richmond, VA 23229, the following: Three (3) each: GETAC M230; 15.1 Sunlight Readable LCD, Intel Core 2 Duo, 1.5GHz 667Mhz FSB, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, Super Multi DVDRW, IEEE 1394b firewall, Bluetooth, Membrane Keyboard, One type II PCMCIA, Li-Ion Battery, 2xUSB, 2xSerial, 1xRJ45, 1xRJ11, 1xVGA, nVidia 512MB. Upgrade RAM to 4GB. Upgrade HSS to 320 GB. No wireless, No Bluetooth, No IRDA, No RJ11 port, installed with the latest version of Fedora. This procurement is sole source for the following reasons: Extensive market research was conducted in order to determine availability that would meet the required specifications of the Customer. A comprehensive survey of commercial sources of Ruggedize Laptop Computers was conducted that led to the identification of the GETAC M230 as being the only source able to meet the following minimum specifications/requirements: nVidia video card; No camera; No wireless; No Bluetooth, Two Serial Data Ports; Linux Operating System; Installation of the latest version of Fedora The NAICS code is 334111. The Small Business size standard is 1000. Delivery will be to the Naval Support Activity Panama City, Receiving Officer Building 100, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7001. Delivery terms for this requirement are FOB Origin. Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with its offer, unless they have been completed online at http://orca.gov. Please note that defense payment office may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT). EFT payments are based on the contractor s EFT information contained in the CCR database. The NSWC-PCD has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area.
