Description
U.S. Department of the Army, Army Contracting Command - Picatinny, PicatinnyArsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager forCombat Ammunition Systems intends to issue a solicitation for an IndefiniteDelivery, Indefinite Quantity contract for the120mm M31 Tail Fins to be provided to the Load/Assemble/Pack (LAP) facilities for mortar cartridgeammunition in May 2011. The US Government anticipates soliciting offerors foraward of multiple Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity(IDIQ) contracts to deliver the US Army FY10-FY15 Mortar productionrequirements. It is anticipated that multiple IDIQ contracts will be awardedfor a basic period of five years with an option for an additional orderingperiod of two years. Potential contractors possessing the technical,financial and facility resources necessary to meet the US Governmentsrequirements will initially be qualified by being awarded an IDIQ contract andthen compete for delivery orders as requirements arise. Interested contractorsshould demonstrate that they possess the experience and capability, or thatthey can obtain such, necessary to fabricate, assemble and inspect therequired quantities of Tail Fins and obtain the necessary equipment,facilities and tooling required to fabricate and deliver these mortar components at a high rate of production. This may include an indication ofwillingness to invest in setting up a required production line. Contractorsshall provide a summary of their companys capabilities including parentorganizations, name/address/point of contact identification, capabilities, adescription of facilities/equipment, manufacturing processes, inspectioncapability, personnel, past experience as a manufacturer, proven monthlyproduction capacity and/or potential capacity, possible partnering/teamingarrangements and whether or not they are a small business.
