Description
Sources Sought Notice: The United States Coast Guard is seeking Welding Contractors with NAVSEA Certification for welding HY-130 steel in accordance with NAVSEA Technical Publication T9074-AD-GIB-010/1688. Materials to be welded are HY-130 to HY-130 and HY-130 to carbon steel (typically A36 steels) aboard Coast Guard Medium Endurance Cutter 270 Foot "B-Class" cutters. Welding is for flight deck repairs and installation of tie-down fittings, stanchions, railings, and miscellaneous deck equipment. Contractors must provide written documentation of NAVSEA approval for HY-130 welding processes to be considered for Coast Guard repairs. Contractors shall also have written documentation of Welder Qualifications demonstrating welder proficiencies in performing welds in accordance with each process to be considered. All interested Welders with NAVSEA certification must provide a copy of the following with the expressed interest response, the applicable certifications for HY-130 steel, HY-130 to HY-130 to carbon steel, A36. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423. All questions concerning this sources sought notice shall be submitted in writing to Tara Holloway at tara.m.holloway@uscg.mil. All interested NAVSEA certified welders must respond in a letter either by e-mail to tara.m.holloway@uscg.mil or by fax at 757-628-4562. In your response you must include (a) a positive statement of you intention to submit a quote as a prime contractor if in the event a project comes available; (b) evidence of experience in work performing welding jobs in accordance with NAVSEA Technical Publication to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers; (c) past performance references with points of contact and telephone numbers. At least two references are requested, but more are desirable. Your response is required by April 25, 2011 at 12:00pm EST. Questions may be referred to tara.m.holloway@uscg.mil.
