- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to solicit for the provision of mortuary services rendered for the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) located in Butner, North Carolina. Service requirements entail provision of full-service mortuary services including embalming and body preparation and coordination of final arrangements for burial, cremation, or shipment of remains (both domestic and international shipment). This solicitation should result in the offer of a single contract award that will consist of a base year with four option years. The quantities of services required are unknown; however, it is projected that services will be required for the following number of deceased persons each contract year: Base Year - 136, Option Year 1 - 140, Option Year 2 - 144, Option Year 3 - 148, and Option Year 4 - 152. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The solicitation will be made available on or about April 20, 2011, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 812210, with a small business size standard of $7.0 million. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about May 20, 2011; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is set-aside for small businesses. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered.
