Description
J&A Amendment 0001 Solicitation This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The reference number for this procurement is FA7022-11-T-0002 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The item/service utilizes Standard Industry Code (SIC) 3691 with a business size of 500 employees and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 335911. This is firm fixed price procurement, and will be procured using commercial item procedures and award selection will be made based on price and in accordance with the evaluation for award in FAR 13.106. THIS IS A BRAND NAME ACQUISITION IAW FAR 6.302-1. The AF ISR Agency contracting office has been tasked with the acquisition of 100 SunXtender Batteries, equipment part number PVX-6240T, 2 volts, equal to or greater than 720 nominal capacity ampere hours at 77 degrees Fahrenheit to 1.75 volts per cell. Length 12.01 inches, width 6.60 inches, and height 8.93 inches. Non-spillable construction to allow the batteries to be used vertically, horizontally, or upturned. Maintenance free design, no water replenishment ever. Batteries ship Hazmat Exempt. Delivery shall be within 60 to 90 days after placement of order. SunXtender batteries are the only batteries capable of fulfilling the government's requirement and will be used to replace existing equipment in the field. The exact make, model, and measurements of the batteries are crucial to the continuation of operation in the field. Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. This is a Request for Quotes and the government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 15 days after date of publication of this combined synopsis/solicitation. The AF ISR Agency has determined the brand name SunXtender PVX-6240T are the only battery capable of fulfilling this requirement. Phone calls will not be accepted.
