- ANNOUNCEMENT: SPECIAL NOTICE ACTION CODE: NOTICE OF INTENT CLASSIFICATION CODE: 65 - Medical, Dental & Veterinary Equipment & Supplies SUBJECT: Three (3) Vital signs patient monitor, Propaq Model 206EL (PIN 9002-022166), SOLICITATION NUMBER: W91YTZ-RKB-11-0002 RESPONSE DATE: April 28, 2011 CONTACT POINTS: Keith Batchelor, Contract Specialist, Keith.Batchelor@us.army.mil DESCRIPTION: ***The Healthcare Acquisition Activity-North (HCAA), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106 - 1 (b)(1), with Welch Allyn Holdings, Inc., 4341 State Street, Skaneateles Falls, NY 13153-5300 for the purchase of three (3) Vital signs patient monitor, Propaq Model 206EL (PIN 9002-022166). *** ***The Sole Source determination is based on Welch Allyn Holdings, Inc., being the orginal equipment manufacturer of the Propaq Model 206EL (PIN 9002-022166), capable in providing the system and maintaenance service in accordance with the equipment specifications. Welch Allyn Holdings, Inc., is the only authorized vendor capable in providing the required equipement and maintance.*** ***Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Fort Knox, KY, and is required within 4 weeks after receipt of an order.*** ***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 339112, and the size standard is 500 employees.*** ***No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by April 28, 2011.*** A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
