- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (AIR-2.5.1.9) Patuxent, Maryland 20670 is in the planning stages of procuring quantities of AN/SSQ Sonobuoys and MK-84 Signal, Underwater Sound (SUS) devices beginning in FY14 through FY18 in support of the Program Executive Office for Air, ASW Assault and Special Mission Program (PMA 264). The Government anticipates issuing a Firm- Fixed-Price solicitation for a base and up to four option years in the summer of 2012. This procurement will include the AN/SSQ-36, AN/SSQ-53, AN/SSQ-62, AN/SSQ-101, AN/SSQ-125, Sonobuoy Launch Containers (SLC) and MK-84 SUS. This is a Non-Developmental Full Rate Production program for all products. An Industry Day will be held in California, Maryland on 9 June 2011, from 9:00am to 12:00pm. The purpose of this Industry Day is to provide an opportunity for potential offerors to become familiar with the requirements and have potential questions addressed. Attendance at the Industry Day event is NOT required to submit proposals to forthcoming solicitations. Due to space limitations, it is requested that attendance be limited to three (3) representatives from each interested offeror. Please register for the Industry Day event via email to the Contract Specialist, Ms. Sabana Moore-Barnes (AIR 2.5.1.9) at sabana.moore-barnes@navy.mil, providing the business name, address, attendee name(s), a point of contact telephone number and e-mail address, no later than 5:00pm (EST), on 1 June 2011. The Industry Day e-mail request for registration MUST include in the subject line: "Production Sonobuoy Industry Day Registration". Additional information (regarding facility location and access) will be provided via email to those registering for the event. Questions for the Industry Day event must be received by 5:00pm (EST), on 01 June 2011. All questions shall be submitted via e-mail to the Contract Specialist, Ms. Sabana Moore-Barnes, at the above email address. E-mails MUST contain the following in the subject line: "Q & A Production Sonobuoy Industry Day". Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. All questions submitted should be non-proprietary. Information marked as proprietary will not be accepted. Questions following the Industry Day must be received by 5:00pm (EST), on 17 June 2011. Questions shall be submitted via e-mail to the Contract Specialist, Ms. Sabana Moore-Barnes, at the above email address. E-mails MUST contain the following in the subject line: "Follow Up Q & A Production Sonobuoy Industry Day". Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Answers to Industry Day questions will be posted on the Government Point of Entry and may be accessed via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov no later than 30 June 2011. Production AN/SSQ sonobuoys and the MK-84 (SUS) devices are built to performance specifications with limited distribution statements. Release of these documents will require a government review and an approval of a request prior to release. A summary of sonobuoy Key Performance Parameters (KPPs) will be available prior to Industry Day and may be requested via e-mail to the Contract Specialist, Ms. Sabana Moore-Barnes, at the above email address. E-mails MUST contain the following in the subject line: "REQUEST FOR PRODUCTION SONOBOUY KPPs". Requests for the performance specifications and associated documents shall be submitted via e-mail to the Contract Specialist, Ms. Sabana Moore-Barnes, at the above email address. E-mails MUST contain the following in the subject line: "REQUEST FOR PRODUCTION SONOBOUY/MK-84 SPECIFICATIONS". Distribution Statement D applies to the AN/SSQ-36, AN/SSQ-53, AN/SSQ-62, AN/SSQ-101, and AN/SSQ-125 production sonobuoy specifications. Distribution Statement D. This industry day is NOT a request to be added to a prospective offerors list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. This Industry Day is for market research purposes only and IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) nor does it restrict the Government in determining or planning its acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse interested sources for any costs incurred in preparation of and or attending this Industry Day.
